Infection Control in Our Office: Infektion-Steuerung in unserem Büro

We use the effective infection control procedures and universal precautions* in dental office to prevent cross contamination that could extend to patient, dentist, staff and technicians. Our offices have modern and hi-tech sterilizer to ensure that the extensive sterilization procedures are meticulously followed for all our dental instruments and equipment. Since we do recognize that health and safety issue are equally important for the patient and health care team, all our equipment is therefore sterilized or disposed.  Our goal is to always provide the best quality and most dependable service available to our patient.

Modern Sterilization Techniques : Moderne Sterilisation-Techniken

 All instruments and hand pieces are sterilized by using pressurized stream (so called “Autoclave”) after every patient.  We routinely test for spores and monitor our technique. Instruments that can not withstand high temperatures are scrubbed clean and then disinfect in chemical solutions. These methods of sterilization which meet prescribed international standards kill the microscopic organisms capable of causing disease.

Disposable items : Wegwerfeinzelteile

 The use of disposable items is another way in our offices maintains a sanitary and safe environment. Many materials such as gloves, masks, plastic rinsing cup, disposable covering, needle, etc are used only once and then disposed.

Protective Clothing : Schutzkleidung

We also wear face masks, face shield, protective eye wear and medical gowns.

Surface Cleaning : Oberflächenreinigung

 We clean and disinfect treatment surfaces and equipment that cannot be removed for cleaning and sterilization for example the dental unit, counters, X-ray equipment, and other surface area after every patient.

*Universal Precaution : Universalvorkehrung

Universal Precaution assumes that every direct contact with anybody fluid is potentially infectious.

These universal precautions include:

• Washing hands before and after each treatment;
• Wearing gloves for all patient treatment and changing gloves after each patient;
• Wearing masks and protective eye wear during treatment;
• Wearing protective clothing if treatment can create the spattering of body fluids;
• Sterilizing or disinfecting after each use;
• Cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces in the treatment room;
• Disposing potentially contaminated items
