Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)
If one of your teeth becomes injured or diseased, it can often be saved through a specialized dental procedure known as a Root Canal Treatment. The Root Canal Treatment involves the removal of a tooth's pulp, both in the pulp and in the root canal, then the root canal(s) is cleaned and shaped to a form that can be filled; and the root canal(s) is filled with biocompatible material usually gutta-percha and then sealed. The treatment may involve one or more visits; and some teeth may need to be crowned or just an ordinary filling.

Periodontics (Gum Treatment)
Periodontal disease is an infection of the tissues surrounding the teeth which is caused by bacteria found in plaque and calculus. These bacteria release toxins that can damage the gum and surrounding bone. In the beginning stages, this disease is painless; but as it progresses, bleeding, swollen gums, bad breath, and shifting teeth become more obvious. The patient will feel no pain or discomfort until this disease reaches the advanced stage; therefore with periodic check-ups, the dentist can early detect and treat it. The method and cost of the treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease.

Gingivitis is the early stage of the Peridontal disease. At this stage, the infected tissues are reversible; and the treatment is not complicated. This early stage treatment involves thorough cleaning (scaling) and good home care. Also, oral hygiene instruction will be given to the patient followed by regular visits for oral hygiene maintenance in intervals every six months.

Prosthodontics (Crowns, Bridges, Dentures)
Crown: In case a tooth has been extensively destroyed by caries or traumatic accident till it cannot withstand the chewing load, this tooth needs to be crowned. if it needs the root canal treatment ; the crown will be placed after finishing the root canal treatment .The crown may be used to improve appearance incase of abnormal shaped tooth or malaligned or rotated in some cases. Full porcelain crown is placed in an area of highly esthetic concern. Otherwise the crown may be made of porcelain fused to metal. In the molar region or when there is heavy grinding or when the original crown is very short, full cast alloy crown is the best option.

Bridge A bridge is an appliance replacing one or more teeth it cannot be removed by the patient. It is fixed in the patient s mouth by cementing to the teeth adjacent to the space. The bridge usually occupies no move space than the original dentition .The material used is the same as that used for crown.

Dentures: Partial denture: is the removable appliance that can replace one or move teeth in a dental arch. It may be rested entirely on teeth or be supported by the soft tissue or the combination of both teeth and soft tissue (gum). Partial denture is retained by clasps, by adhesion to the soft tissue or by dental or soft tissue undercuts. The base of the denture could be made of plastic (temporary plate) or metal.

Dental implants can be used to support a single crown to replace a single loss tooth or many missing tooth and also they can be used to support the complete denture in edentulous jaw.

Esthetic Dentistry & Operative Dentistry
In the past, Operative Dentistry was involved only in metal or plastic fillings; however, the technology of dental materials helps us to be able to provide a wide range of treatments such as tooth whitening, ceramic fillings, or porcelain laminated veneers. All of these treatments are highly recommended for patients with cosmetic concerns. The treatment will provide changing of tooth colour and shape which will help the tooth function better.

Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment can improve your dental health and facial appearance for the better. Patients often feel more self-confident even before treatment is completed.
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities (bad bite or malocclusion). The practice of orthodontics requires professional skill in the design, application adn control of corrective appliances, such as braces, to bring teeth, lips and jaws into proper alignment and to achieve facial balance.

Most malocclusions are inherited, but some are acquired. Inherited problems include crowding of teeth, too much space between teeth, extra or missing teeth, and a wide variety of other irregularities of the jaws, teeht and face.

Acquired malocclusions can be caused by trauma (accidents), thumb, finger or dummy (pacifier) sucking, airway obstruction by tonsils and adenoids, dental disease or premature loss of primary (baby) or permanent teeth. Whether inherited of acquired, many of these problems affect not only alignment of the teeth but also facial development and appearance as well.

In general, active treatment time with orthodontic appliances (braces) ranges from one to three years. Interceptive, or early treatment procedures, may take only a few months. The actual time depends on the growth of the patient's mouth and face, the cooperation of the patient and the severity of the problem.
